VP Pocino on the loss of Senator Lautenberg

Published by: NJ LECET on 06/03/2013

Frank Lautenberg was true to his Paterson roots, a fighter, a scrapper who served his country honorably from his first days of adulthood, as an 18-year old soldier in World War II, to his last days as a United States Senator.

Senator Lautenberg lived the American Dream, rising from poverty to co-found an immensely successful business. But more importantly, he promoted and pushed for others to realize their own American Dreams.  He fought tirelessly on behalf of New Jersey residents and Americans everywhere.  Without question, Frank Lautenberg was one of the most effective legislators of our time.

The Laborers’ International Union of North America has lost a dear friend in Senator Frank Lautenberg.  Thankfully, his legacy lives on in his work, which has greatly benefited this nation and its citizens.
